DEATĦ B¥ LØVE  Królowa Świata feat. Mario Usai  (Clan Of Xymox)

Release Date: August 28, 2026

Label: Distortion Productions

LYRICS (Inga): When I penned these lyrics in 1992 as a young girl, I poured onto the page my deepest, most hidden fears of intimacy. The title, “Queen of the World,” serves as a poetic embodiment of love itself: a force grand, absolute, and sovereign, capable of reshaping one’s destiny, yet powerful enough to inspire both profound awe and a paralyzing fear of heartbreak.

From my perspective as the author, the text unfolds as an intimate soliloquy, almost a quiet plea for self-healing. By framing the verses in the second person—“You know how many days you waited...”—I appear to be addressing someone else. Yet, in truth, these words are the whispers of my own subconscious, trying to break through the defensive armor I had built around myself.

PRODUCTION (Peter): Inga and I have been talking a lot lately about releasing a song in Polish. Poland is our homeland, after all, even though at this point I’ve lived in the US longer than I ever lived there.

The production of “Królowa Świata” began in a rather unusual way. Inga sent me vocal tracks from a song she had previously recorded while I was touring the East Coast, working as a tech for Clan of Xymox. I had my portable recording rig with me because I tend to get inspired whenever I’m surrounded by music that genuinely moves me.

And, obviously, I was listening to a lot of Clan of Xymox. Every night, to be precise.

I became particularly inspired by Ronny’s guitar sound and actually cut my first guitar pass using his Rickenbacker. Then Mario Usai, their bass player, popped into my hotel room, listened to what I was working on, and somehow ended up recording bass for the entire song, giving the track much of its driving force.

Once I got back home to my studio, I began shaping and polishing the tune. Inga sent me a freshly recorded set of vocals, I added some trance-inspired synth sequences, and gradually the song developed the dynamics, tension, and movement we felt it needed.

Not long afterward, with the release date rapidly approaching and absolutely no time to spare, Inga and I started thinking about a music video. Since the song has such a distinctly gothic atmosphere, the idea of a vampire love story—as gloriously clichéd as that may sound—somehow fought its way to the top of the list. So we went exactly there and came up with purposefully cheesy concept of vampire foursome.

For the video, I used AI-generated imagery, which I then edited, reworked, and combined with additional visual effects to create the final piece.

MUSIC VIDEO STORY: Inga and Peter are benevolent “love vampires” teaching guarded people trust and vulnerability. They playfully compete to awaken their partner’s heart first through amused glances and a chessboard with red and white queens. They never fight or become jealous.

Peter finds Monica writing an unfinished love letter in a deserted late-night café. Calm and patient, he listens and makes her feel seen. He returns her torn letter and offers his hand without forcing contact. She trusts him and follows him into the mansion.

Inga finds Ian dancing alone in an abandoned ballroom, hiding loneliness behind charm. She mirrors his movement and challenges him with fearless eye contact. Their sensual dance becomes sincere as Ian reveals vulnerability.

Monica discovers Peter has no reflection; Ian sees Inga’s fangs. Frightened, they retreat. Peter and Inga do not chase. They open the doors and let them leave, proving love does not possess. Outside, beneath rain and a blood-red moon, Monica and Ian realize they were offered acceptance and voluntarily return.
